Salary: $97,000 – $100,000 annually

Easter Seals Superior provides pediatric therapy services for children in homes, community settings, schools, clinics and occasionally via telehealth. Our services are funded by a variety of sources for early intervention, schools, insurance and private pay.
Position Summary
The Director of Physical Therapy provides leadership, vision, and oversight for all physical therapy services within the pediatrics department. This role ensures clinical excellence, compliance with state and federal regulations, and alignment with our mission to deliver high-quality, family-centered care. The Director oversees a team of pediatric physical therapists and other leadership positions, encourages professional growth, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support children across a variety of service settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for physical therapy programs and services.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including California Department of Education and regional center standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and support a team of physical therapists and support staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement best practices, policies, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure high standards of care.
- Collaborate with other clinical and administrative leaders to coordinate interdisciplinary care.
- Manage staffing and performance.
- Participate in planning and program development to grow and strengthen services.
- Serve as a clinical resource and advocate for staff, families, and the community.
- Represent the organization at professional meetings, and community events.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree required.
- Current California Physical Therapy License in good standing.
- Minimum 3 years of pediatric experience, including early intervention, school-based, or outpatient settings.
- Supervisory or program management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of California regulations governing physical therapy in educational and early intervention contexts.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
- Commitment to family-centered care, equity, and inclusion.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $97,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience).

- Education reimbursement for higher education: $5,000 annually (up to $20,000 over 4 fiscal years).
