Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Technician to join our healthcare team in Grand Prairie, United States. As a Physical Therapist Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our physical therapists and contributing to the rehabilitation and recovery of our patients.

• Assist physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care and treatment plans
• Prepare treatment areas and set up therapy equipment for patient sessions
• Administer hot and cold packs, and other modalities as directed by the physical therapist
• Guide patients through prescribed exercises and monitor their progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinic environment
• Ensure proper maintenance and care of therapy equipment
• Assist patients with mobility and transfers as needed
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during their rehabilitation journey
• Accurately document patient information and treatment details in electronic health records
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a physical or occupational therapy curriculum program preferred
• Strong work ethic and a responsible attitude
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine interest in helping people and a caring, empathetic nature
• Outstanding organizational and time management abilities
• Knowledge of basic physical therapy techniques and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to safety protocols
• Physical stamina to assist patients and handle therapy equipment
• Basic computer skills for accurate record-keeping and documentation
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic healthcare environment
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care
• Working towards obtaining a college degree (preferred)
