Mercy Physical Therapy is actively seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our exceptional team in Queen Creek, Arizona. As an integral part of our healthcare delivery system, you will work under the direction of licensed Physical Therapists, assisting in the formulation and implementation of tailored therapeutic plans aimed at enhancing our patients' mobility and overall physical health.

Work Environment
This full-time position will be onsite at our hospital facility, where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate the varied demands of patient care and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting licensed Physical Therapists in the implementation of personalized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
- Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
- Educating patients on body mechanics, proper exercise techniques, and home exercise regimens to enhance their recovery journey.
- Administering therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold treatments, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, tracking key metrics such as range of motion, strength improvements, and functional milestones.
- Preparing treatment areas and ensuring optimal organization of equipment and supplies for therapy sessions.
- Collaborating with a team of professionals to coordinate patient care effectively, maximizing treatment outcomes.
- Providing emotional support and motivation to clients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive healing environment.
- Upholding ethical standards and maintaining the confidentiality of patient information.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role as PTA will involve engaging with a diverse range of clients, from children to senior citizens, each requiring unique rehabilitation approaches. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will possess:
- An Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to physical therapy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities, guided by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with patients and collaborate with team members.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, with a strong commitment to helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability in working with various conditions and populations.

Preferred Experience
Along with the required qualifications, candidates with at least two years of experience in a physical therapy setting will be given priority consideration. Previous experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is also advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
