You will work in a vibrant, outpatient clinical setting located within a hospital in Raymore, MO. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as established by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring a patient-centered approach to care.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical modalities to patients while maintaining a precise and empathetic technique.
- Regularly observe and document patient responses to therapy interventions, promptly reporting any changes in their conditions to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for accurate and timely documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of adherence to therapy regimens, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs.
- Foster a positive, motivating atmosphere that encourages patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation process.
- Work collaboratively within our interdisciplinary team to streamline communication and optimize therapeutic outcomes for all patients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your compassionate approach will not only provide physical support but also emotional encouragement, guiding patients as they navigate their rehabilitation journey.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a PTA in the state of Missouri, or eligibility to obtain such licensure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for fostering effective patient relationships and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is preferred but not required.
