Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Bolingbrook, where you will be working within a collaborative healthcare team. Our clinic is equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies and tools that allow for innovative treatment methods. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals.
• Provide hands-on support during therapy sessions, including guiding patients through exercises, ensuring proper form, and motivating them during challenging tasks.
• Educate patients and their families about exercises and lifestyle modifications aimed at improving mobility and reducing pain.
• Monitor patients' progress and report findings to the supervising physical therapist, ensuring that treatment plans are adapted as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Complete all necessary documentation in accordance with healthcare regulations, accurately reflecting treatment sessions and patient progress.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and collaborate on multi-disciplinary approaches.
• Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy through continuous education and professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PTA at Thrive & Flourish Health Network, you will primarily work with patients of varying ages and backgrounds who face challenges related to injuries, medical conditions, or post-surgical recovery. Our focus is on using evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, ensuring that all patients receive personalized attention and care tailored to their specific conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (or equivalent experience) is required.
• A valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy treatment techniques and interventions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic support to patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Hands-on experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and proficiency in medical documentation.

Compensation and Benefits
