Work Environment
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work in a dynamic hospital environment that emphasizes collaboration and teamwork. Operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs and clinic operations, our facility provides a supportive atmosphere equipped with advanced technology and the expertise of seasoned healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct physical therapy services as instructed by the physical therapist, ensuring adherence to individualized treatment plans for each patient.
- Utilize therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and various modalities, including heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and massage to relieve pain and enhance functional abilities.
- Guide patients through active and passive exercises, teaching muscle reeducation, gait training, and safe transfer activities to optimize mobility.
- Provide education on the proper use and care of therapeutic devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, and braces, ensuring that patients feel confident and secure in their mobility aids.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment protocols and document observations accurately, reporting any significant changes in patient conditions to supervising physical therapists.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records and notes according to organizational standards, supporting effective communication among healthcare team members.
- Engage in ongoing interdisciplinary meetings and training, participating in quality performance assessment initiatives to continually improve patient care.
- Adapt to various patient needs and clinic demands by performing additional duties as assigned, fostering a responsive and team-oriented environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will interact with a broad demographic of patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our patient population varies widely, encompassing individuals of all ages who require rehabilitation support. Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an Associate's degree in science or applied science that complies with standards set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Possess a current state certificate or license to practice as a physical therapist assistant and maintain CPR certification.
- Demonstrate safe driving practices with a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle that meets insurance and operational requirements.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred, providing valuable insights into patient care dynamics and treatment methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits
