Work Environment
This role is primarily onsite at our well-equipped rehabilitation facility. The clinic features state-of-the-art physiotherapy equipment and a welcoming atmosphere focused on patient-centered care. With a structured workweek from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, you'll find a balanced professional life, allowing you to dedicate your time and energy to your patients without the distractions of weekend or evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will engage in a range of daily therapeutic activities designed to optimize patient outcomes:
- Patient Evaluations: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs, establish baselines, and develop tailored treatment goals.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver focused, one-on-one therapy sessions utilizing a variety of modalities such as manual therapy, exercise therapy, and electrotherapy.
- Education and Empowerment: Provide patients and their families with the knowledge and resources necessary to foster independence and support at-home recovery.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure cohesive and coordinated care plans.
- Documentation Practices: Maintain precise and up-to-date records of patient progress and therapy sessions through our electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients you will serve are primarily adults recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, or chronic pain conditions. You will interact with a diverse clientele, ranging from amateur athletes seeking to return to sport to older adults striving to enhance their quality of life. This role allows you to make a direct and positive impact on the health and happiness of individuals in your community.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A valid and active Physical Therapist license to practice in Michigan.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; additional qualifications such as a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (MS or DPT) are highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to connect with patients and understand their unique situations.
- A commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience is preferred, we encourage applicants with a strong willingness to learn and develop essential skills through mentorship and training. Familiarity with EMR systems and experience in manual therapy techniques will set candidates apart. Compensation and Benefits
The compensation package for this role ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
