Work Environment
This full-time position is based onsite at a reputable hospital where teamwork, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care are driving principles. The working hours are set from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet patient needs. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology, providing an optimal setting for both staff and patients
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs.
- Perform treatment modalities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education activities as outlined in the treatment protocol.
- Continuously observe and document patients' progress, symptoms, and responses to therapy in real-time, ensuring accurate reporting to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain compliance with legal and ethical standards in the management of physical therapy records and patient documentation.
- Engage in regular team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, set treatment goals, and refine therapeutic approaches based on patient feedback and outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on adult patients facing orthopedic injuries and chronic pain conditions. This diverse patient demographic may include individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and those experiencing long-term musculoskeletal issues. You'll use your skills to help these clients regain mobility, manage pain, and improve their overall functional capabilities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is mandatory for this position.
- Possession of a current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license for the state of Nevada, or the ability to apply for relevant licensure.
- Excellent communication skills are essential, enabling you to effectively interact with patients and collaboratively work within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of prior experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in an outpatient or hospital environment.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient documentation is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various rehabilitation modalities and therapeutic exercise techniques will be beneficial in delivering high-quality care.
Compensation and Benefits
