Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
• Monitoring patient progress and adjusting therapeutic exercises under the supervision of physical therapists.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment procedures and home exercise plans.
• Maintaining accuracy in patient documentation using point of service technology, including iPad systems.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in in-house continuing education units (CEUs) to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
• Mentoring new graduates and less experienced staff, cultivating a supportive learning atmosphere.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

To be considered for this vital role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• An active Physical Therapist Assistant license, enabling practice without restrictions in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• A demonstrated commitment to compassionate care within a rehabilitation setting, specifically tailored to the elderly.

Preferred Experience

While the position welcomes new graduates, ideal candidates will also have:

• Experience working in skilled nursing facilities.
• Familiarity with healthcare or skilled nursing facility systems such as Net Health and Casamba.
• A proven ability to engage effectively with patients and their families.
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities that enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
