Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs and goals.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting therapeutic exercises under the supervision of physical therapists.
- Educating patients and their families about treatment procedures and home exercise plans.
- Maintaining accuracy in patient documentation using point of service technology, including iPad systems.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participating in in-house continuing education units (CEUs) to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
- Mentoring new graduates and less experienced staff, cultivating a supportive learning atmosphere.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- An active Physical Therapist Assistant license, enabling practice without restrictions in accordance with state and federal guidelines.

Preferred Experience
While the position welcomes new graduates, ideal candidates will also have:
- Experience working in skilled nursing facilities.
- Familiarity with healthcare or skilled nursing facility systems such as Net Health and Casamba.
