Vital Strength PT in Columbus, Georgia, is actively seeking a full-time, licensed Physical Therapist dedicated to promoting recovery and rehabilitation in patients. In this role, you will utilize evidence-based practices to assist clients in regaining mobility and improving their overall quality of life. Vital Strength PT operates a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center strategically located in Columbus, GA. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is designed to cater to the needs of athletes and active individuals seeking specialized rehabilitation services. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes through effective treatment strategies. Our dedicated team consists of experienced physical therapists and a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who work collaboratively to ensure the best care possible.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position that offers a vibrant and encouraging atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will work a regular Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, focusing on a manageable caseload of 2-3 patients per hour. With a focus on collaboration, the professional environment fosters ongoing learning and development among the team as we share our expertise to advance patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and goals of each patient.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic modalities.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques to enhance patient recovery and mobility.
• Monitor and adjust treatment regimens based on patient progress, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Document patient care services accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like WebPT.
• Inspire and guide patients to regain strength, flexibility, and coordination to support their active lifestyles.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in ongoing education to incorporate the latest evidence-based practices into treatment strategies.
• Encourage non-surgical options and advocate for the reduction of prescription medication usage where appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic includes a diverse array of individuals ranging from avid athletes to those recovering from orthopedic injuries. By delivering personalized therapies focused on their unique needs, you will play a crucial role in helping clients optimize their rehabilitation journey, return to sports, or manage daily activities more effectively.

Qualifications

• DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of Georgia.
• No prior board actions or disciplinary actions on your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills are essential for effective patient treatment.
• Proficiency in using EMR systems, with a preference for WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and colleagues.
• Dedication to fostering a supportive and encouraging environment for patients.

Compensation and Benefits
