Work Environment
Located in New Hartford, CT, our outpatient office is designed to promote a comfortable and supportive atmosphere for both patients and staff. Our team of therapy experts is diverse and dedicated, ensuring a welcoming environment that encourages creativity and professional development. We operate Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, providing our therapists with a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities to assess their individual needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide skilled therapy interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the application of physiotherapeutic modalities.
- Regularly monitor and document patients' progress, modifying treatment plans to optimize outcomes and facilitate recovery.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists to provide an integrated approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention strategies, and home exercise programs that encourage independence.
- Implement fall prevention initiatives and safety protocols within the assisted living community to minimize accident risks.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in physical therapy through ongoing professional development and education opportunities.
- Maintain ethical standards and confidentiality while demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
- A graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. A Doctorate or Master's degree is a plus.
- Possession of an active Physical Therapist license valid in the state of Connecticut.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills tailored for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMRs) and familiar with documentation standards in healthcare.
Preferred Experience
- At least one year of experience in geriatric therapy is preferred, although we welcome applications from new graduates with a strong interest in this field.
- Experience in implementing evidence-based therapeutic strategies and a proactive approach to patient care.
- Proven ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative team environment, demonstrating adaptability to various clinical situations.
Compensation and Benefits
