Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Camden, NJ. Working from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, you will enjoy a structured schedule with opportunities for flexibility. We foster a collaborative atmosphere where every team member's insight is valued, ensuring that patient care remains at the core of our operations. With an established protocol for transparency, you will receive detailed payment reports that help you understand your remuneration while being encouraged to use your clinical judgment in handling patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of each patient's physical capabilities, determining their specific needs and goals.
- Design and implement personalized treatment plans that may include therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the use of diverse modalities catered to our geriatric clientele.
- Regularly monitor and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy interventions to ensure optimal outcomes and enhance their recovery.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to facilitate a holistic approach to patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques, home exercise regimens, and strategies for injury prevention to promote active participation in their rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including fall prevention programs, tailored to the assisted living community we serve.
- Engage in continuous professional development and peer collaboration to stay current with therapies, techniques, and best practices in physical rehabilitation.
- Adhere to ethical practices and maintain patient confidentiality, exemplifying our organization's commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As an integral member of our team, you will focus primarily on the geriatric population, providing your expertise to patients with various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain management, and mobility issues. Your work will make a tangible difference in their ability to engage in meaningful daily activities, thereby enhancing their overall well-being and independence.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; further education (Doctorate/Master's) is welcomed.
- Possession of an active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
- A solid understanding of geriatric therapy is preferred, though new graduates eager to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, family members, and other healthcare professionals.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMRs) and other relevant documentation systems essential for patient data management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices and the ability to implement them effectively in clinical settings.
- A commitment to patient-centered care, aiming to enhance patient independence and quality of life.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in geriatric rehabilitation settings is an advantage but not mandatory. We also encourage fresh graduates with a passion for this demographic to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
