Disability Services of Oregon is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced full-time Physical Therapist to enhance our dedicated team at our rehabilitation facility located in West Portland, OR. This vital role involves delivering exceptional treatment to assist patients in regaining mobility and enhancing their overall quality of life, particularly within a geriatric care setting.

Work Environment
This position is onsite at our Rehabilitation Facility in West Portland, where you will join a collaborative team of healthcare professionals passionate about patient care. You will have access to state-of-the-art rehabilitation equipment and resources that enhance your ability to provide top-notch physical therapy services. Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments on new and existing patients to formulate individualized treatment plans, tailored to their unique recovery goals and physical capabilities.
- Deliver hands-on, evidence-based therapy sessions aimed at improving patient mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing daily functional activities, ensuring each session is aligned with their rehabilitation objectives.
- Maintain a manageable caseload of approximately 35 patients per week, averaging 7 patients per day, providing quality time and attention to each individual.
- Actively educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies they can implement at home to support ongoing recovery and maintain improvements in their physical condition.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to professional compliance standards and using electronic medical record systems (WebPT preferred) to maintain organized patient records.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with geriatric patients who may be recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions impacting their mobility. Our approach is centered around empathy and understanding, providing a supportive environment where patients feel encouraged and motivated to improve their capabilities.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution, with advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) preferred.
- Must hold an active and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Oregon.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting is required; however, new graduates who exhibit strong clinical acumen and enthusiasm are encouraged to apply.
- Hands-on proficiency in manual therapy techniques is highly desirable, along with experience in telehealth practices.
- Demonstrable familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically WebPT, is advantageous.
- Must possess a clean professional license with no disciplinary actions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in a geriatric-focused rehabilitation setting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop therapeutic exercise programs catered to individual patient needs.
- Experience in a collaborative inter-disciplinary care environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
