Work Environment
The Physical Therapist will work onsite at our outpatient facility in Essex Junction, a vibrant community known for its beautiful landscapes and welcoming atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical and administrative tasks including, but not limited to:
- Developing and directing individual physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, managing pain, and restoring functional mobility as guided by physician referrals.
- Leading evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities through comprehensive tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capacities.
- Overseeing and guiding Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective implementation of care plans and providing direction as needed.
- Carrying out an array of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modality applications like traction and massage.
- Assessing home environments and recommending adjustments to enhance patient independence and safety during rehabilitation.
- Recording and reporting patient progress, changes in condition, and outcomes, and communicating effectively with team members and physicians regarding adjustments to care plans.
- Completing clinical documentation including initial evaluations (OASIS), care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience, preferably in acute care or home care settings.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Vermont, in good standing, along with a current CPR certification.
- A valid driver's license and automobile insurance are required for potential home visits.
- A proactive mindset with a keen interest in clinical excellence and quality outcomes.
Preferred Experience
While not required, the following experiences are highly desirable:
- Previous work experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient documentation and communication.
- Experience using evidence-based practice to inform treatment approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
