Work Environment
Located in the scenic city of Negaunee, our rehabilitation center provides an onsite setting that emphasizes a calm and focused treatment atmosphere. With a slower-paced environment and a structured caseload, our therapists have the luxury of spending quality time with each patient, allowing for thorough assessments and personalized care. You will be working Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, managing a caseload of one patient per hour.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist at Marshall Movement, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment goals and therapy plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.
- Implement effective therapy sessions aimed at facilitating long-term recovery and pain management.
- Provide education and guidance on home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and holistic approach to patient care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient documentation using our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to track progress and inform future treatment adjustments.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The clientele at our rehabilitation center includes individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, chronic pain, and movement disorders. Our therapists focus on treating a diverse range of conditions, ensuring that each patient receives the personalized attention and specialized care they deserve. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Michigan.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Master's degree (MS) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in managing patient care with a focus on quality rather than quantity.
- Experience using EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking.
Preferred Experience
While we welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced clinicians, preference will be given to candidates who show:
- At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, managing outpatient therapy.
- Experience and knowledge in manual therapy techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize patient needs and schedules.
Compensation and Benefits

Your compensation will reflect your experience and expertise, with a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually.
