Work Environment
This position is exclusively onsite, providing you with the opportunity to engage directly with patients in a dynamic rehabilitation facility. As part of a dedicated team comprising two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will operate in a patient-focused environment that values innovation and high standards of care. Our typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, providing a balanced work-life dynamic.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patient needs comprehensively to create tailored treatment plans.
- Administer a structured treatment regimen that addresses each patient's specific orthopedic challenges.
- Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, ensuring efficient and personalized care.
- Utilize appropriate evidence-based interventions and modalities to maximize client outcomes.
- Document all service and care provided with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate patient records.
- Implement cost-effective treatment strategies that encourage patients to avoid unnecessary medications and surgeries.
- Guide patients through rehabilitation exercises and wellness programs designed to improve strength, flexibility, and overall health.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care and recovery strategies.
- Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary, while keeping open lines of communication.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our primary patient demographic consists of individuals recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. We pride ourselves on providing care predominantly for patients with private medical insurance, ensuring a tailored and high-quality rehabilitation experience. Your role will involve motivating and encouraging these patients, helping them regain their function and independence through personalized interventions.
Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
- Must possess a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Augusta, GA.
- A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board issues is essential.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and in developing effective exercise programs.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
