Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and challenges to develop individualized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and enhancing function.
- Implement hands-on therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities, to assist patients in their rehabilitation process.
- Provide education to patients and their families on techniques and exercises that can be performed at home to support ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient progress diligently using our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring that treatment plans are adjusted based on patient response and outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients you will work with at our facility primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our focus is on promoting recovery through personalized treatment plans that embrace both physical and emotional health, ensuring that each patient feels supported throughout their rehabilitation journey. Qualifications
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Michigan.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting. New graduates with relevant internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, is preferred.
- Strong commitment to ethical practices and excellent patient care standards.
- A clean, active license with no disciplinary actions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
- Skills in developing and implementing innovative treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and their families.
Compensation and Benefits
