Positive Steps Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our outpatient orthopedic team in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Work Environment

This position is onsite, allowing for direct interaction with patients and teamwork among colleagues. You will operate in a modern facility equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic tools. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, accommodating a manageable patient load of one client per hour to ensure quality treatment and attention to each case.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions to determine effective treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
• Implement targeted therapeutic interventions, utilizing a variety of techniques and methodologies to enhance recovery and wellbeing.
• Maintain clear and ongoing communication with patients and their families, providing updates, guidance, and encouragement to facilitate progress towards rehabilitation milestones.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to discuss treatment outcomes, share insights, and continually improve therapeutic practices.
• Ensure all patient documentation is accurately recorded and updated in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, following compliance and best practice standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Positive Steps, you will primarily focus on orthopedic outpatient care. This includes working with patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions related to muscles, joints, and bones. Our patient demographic varies, providing you the opportunity to apply your skills across different age groups and physical conditions, enhancing your therapeutic expertise.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Michigan Physical Therapist license.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Strong foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques is essential.

Preferred Experience

• Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Experience utilizing WebPT or similar EMR systems for documentation and treatment planning.
• Effective organization and time management skills to maintain productivity while delivering high-quality care.
