Work Environment

You will work alongside licensed Physical Therapists and a multidisciplinary healthcare team, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique situations. Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities with a focus on precision and patient safety.
- Continuously observe patient responses during treatment sessions, documenting progress and reporting any concerns or changes to your supervising PT.
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to accurately and timely document treatment sessions and patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, pain management techniques, injury prevention strategies, and overall recovery processes.
- Create and maintain a positive and motivating environment that fosters encouragement for both patients and team members alike.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists and physicians, to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care across disciplines.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work primarily with outpatient orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes recovering from sports-related injuries to elderly individuals seeking to enhance mobility and manage age-related physical challenges. Your compassionate approach and specialized skills will enhance their recovery journeys and facilitate long-term health improvements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Missouri, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork, ensuring effective collaboration with fellow healthcare providers.
- A patient-first attitude exhibiting empathy and adaptability to varied individual needs.
- Confidence in working within an outpatient orthopedic setting; previous experience is a plus, but we welcome recent graduates.
- A desire for continuous learning and professional development, eager to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.
- Experience with specific treatment modalities and therapeutic techniques relevant to orthopedic care.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience and performance.
