Work Environment
This position is set in an on-site hospital outpatient clinic that boasts a modern and patient-centered atmosphere. The clinic is equipped with the latest technological advancements in therapy and rehabilitation, allowing for effective treatment modalities. Our team operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met during their recovery journey.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and a range of modalities with precision and care, adapting these approaches based on patient responses.
- Closely observe patient progress and reactions during treatment sessions, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Document treatment sessions thoroughly and accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system to track progress and optimize future treatment methodologies.
- Educate patients and their families on prescribed exercises, injury prevention strategies, and recovery techniques, empowering them with knowledge and skills for their rehabilitation process.
- Create and maintain a positive and motivating environment for both patients and coworkers, fostering teamwork and collaboration in delivering exceptional care.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, participating in regular discussions to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care across various therapies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a PTA at Motion Health PT, you will primarily work with a diverse range of patients who present with orthopedic conditions requiring rehabilitation. This includes individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Your hands-on support will be crucial for guiding these patients through their recovery process and helping them regain both mobility and confidence.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Missouri or eligibility for licensure.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset to enhance collaborative patient care.
- A patient-first attitude, characterized by compassion and adaptability in various situations.
- Comfortable working in an outpatient orthopedic setting; experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- A keen eagerness to advance clinical skills and stay updated on emerging rehabilitation techniques and best practices.
Preferred Experience
- Previous internship or work experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) software and rehabilitation assessment tools.
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities and manual techniques.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and performance.
