Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist at Positive Steps Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough evaluations of new patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations, which will inform the creation of tailored treatment plans.
- Implementing evidence-based physical therapy techniques aimed at restoring physical function and alleviating pain.
- Educating patients and their families on techniques for self-care and the importance of adhering to treatment plans, ensuring they understand their progress and goals.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapy assistants, to develop and adjust treatment protocols aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, with a preference for candidates experienced with WebPT.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on managing an outpatient caseload that involves treating a range of orthopedic conditions. You will work with patients who are recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or seeking to improve mobility and functionality due to injuries. Each patient requires personalized attention to ensure their unique needs and goals are met effectively.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:
- A current and valid Physical Therapist license in Michigan.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to develop customized treatment plans for a diverse patient population.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling clear interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
While we prefer candidates with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, we encourage new graduates who are eager to learn and contribute to apply. Compensation and Benefits
We offer an attractive compensation package, with an annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
