Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team at Small Steps Big Leaps Rehab Center, located in Norway, Michigan. This full-time role is ideal for professionals who prioritize quality patient care and are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of their patients. As a Physical Therapist here, you will enjoy a consistent 9 AM to 5 PM Monday to Friday schedule, allowing for a work-life balance while managing a reasonable caseload.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough assessments of each patient's physical condition and mobility issues to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Implement a variety of treatment modalities, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required to ensure optimal recovery outcomes.
- Educate patients on self-management techniques, empowering them to take control of their health and rehabilitation process.
- Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes in our EMR system, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues to share knowledge and improve rehabilitation strategies.
- Stay current with physical therapy best practices and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the facility.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our center primarily serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions requiring rehabilitation. You will work with patients of all ages, customizing your therapeutic approaches based on their specific needs, health conditions, and personal goals. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on patient quality of life through personalized therapy.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- Current and valid Michigan Physical Therapy license.
- At least two years of relevant physical therapy experience; new graduates with clinical experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience with manual therapy techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EMR systems, with preference for experience using WebPT.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities are essential for patient interaction and teamwork.
Preferred Experience
While we welcome new graduates, we strongly encourage candidates with prior experience in outpatient settings, particularly those who have worked with similar patient demographics. Additional certifications in specialized physical therapy areas will be considered an asset.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
