Work Environment
Your workplace will be an outpatient office setting in Skandia, known for its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to patient care. The full-time position comes with a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to maintain work-life balance while focusing on your professional development. With the clinic's supportive staff and stable caseload, you will have the resources needed to deliver your best work every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical health and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop individualized therapy programs that are evidence-based and tailored to each patient's specific conditions.
- Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique to maximize recovery and prevent injury.
- Maintain clear and empathetic communication of treatment plans to patients and their families, fostering a collaborative treatment environment.
- Collaborate with fellow clinical staff to design and implement effective care strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
- Document detailed progress notes in our electronic medical records system (WebPT), maintaining accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from young athletes to seniors requiring rehabilitative care. Each patient presents unique challenges and goals, and your role will be integral to their recovery journey.
Qualifications
- A valid Michigan Physical Therapy license is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is the minimum educational requirement.
- Proficient understanding and application of manual therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make decisions based on best practices.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience working in an outpatient setting is preferred, enhancing your ability to deliver effective patient care.
- Familiarity with the WebPT electronic medical records system is ideal but not mandatory.
- Experience with orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and protocols will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
