Active Therapy Associates is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our patient care team located at our Marietta, Georgia facility. Work Environment
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work onsite in our hospital setting, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. The environment fosters teamwork and communication, and it is designed to provide optimal therapeutic interventions for diverse patient populations. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to accommodate patients' needs and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities designed to promote physical well-being, pain relief, and rehabilitation.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs to further support their recovery progress.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of Physical Therapists.
- Monitor patient progress, documenting improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional outcomes.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain organization of equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes, sharing insights from patient interactions.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive and motivating rehabilitation experience.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy in all interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients, including children, geriatric individuals, athletes, and those recovering postoperative. Each population has unique rehabilitation requirements, allowing the PTA to adapt treatment techniques accordingly. Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, complemented by a valid state license or certification.
- In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the application of therapeutic interventions.
- Proficiency in executing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits
Active Therapy Associates offers a competitive annual salary ranging between $50,000 and $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
