Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans as prescribed for each patient.
- Utilize advanced equipment and technology, including point of service documentation systems via iPad, to facilitate efficient care delivery.
- Conduct therapeutic procedures and exercises, monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment protocols accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques for continued improvement.
- Participate in ongoing staff training, interdisciplinary meetings, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on a diverse group of patients, particularly the elderly, who may require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Understanding the unique challenges faced by this population, you will deliver compassionate care that promotes recovery and overall wellness.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Current and active Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Georgia.
- Ability to practice physical therapy in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Strong passion for aiding elderly patients and enhancing their quality of life.
Preferred Experience
While new graduates are encouraged to apply, the following experience is valued:
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with healthcare documentation systems, such as Net Health or Casamba.
- Demonstrated ability to foster effective communication with both patients and healthcare team members.
Compensation and Benefits
