Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at MotionUp Rehabilitation Systems, you will have the opportunity to:

• Assist in the implementation of therapeutic treatment plans established by licensed Physical Therapists.
• Evaluate patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist, adapting care plans based on patient responses.
• Administer modalities such as hot/cold treatments, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises to promote recovery.
• Document patient interactions and treatments accurately through point-of-service documentation utilizing iPad technology, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on exercises and daily living activities that promote independence and wellness.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy space, ensuring all equipment is functional and readily available for use.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including elderly individuals in skilled nursing facilities. Your compassionate approach will be essential as you help these patients overcome mobility challenges and regain independence in their daily lives. You will be instrumental in implementing treatment strategies that cater to their unique needs, thus directly influencing their quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field with an active Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Proficiency in practicing physical therapy in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with geriatric patients and a commitment to enhancing their rehabilitation experiences.

Preferred Experience

While new graduates are encouraged to apply, candidates with the following experiences will be viewed favorably:

• Previous experience working in skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation environments.
• Familiarity with healthcare documentation systems such as Net Health or Casamba.
• Hands-on experience with therapeutic modalities and patient engagement techniques.
