Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital facility in Henderson, where you will be part of a collaborative healthcare team. The work environment is dynamic and encourages continuous learning, with a strong emphasis on fostering teamwork and communication among healthcare professionals and patients alike. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient needs and respond to clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans to maximize patient rehabilitation potential.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to enhance physical well-being and alleviate pain, using methods such as progressive resistance training and balance activities.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques to support their rehabilitation goals, emphasizing the importance of home exercise programs.
• Administer physical therapy modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, keeping track of improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities.
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure that all equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for each therapy session.
• Collaborate with diverse interdisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Support patients emotionally throughout their rehabilitation journey, encouraging a positive mindset and commitment to their progress.
• Adhere strictly to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, managing chronic pain conditions, and those with neurological disorders. Our hospital environment allows you to engage with patients of all ages, tailoring care to address the unique challenges faced by each group, ensuring that their rehabilitation experience is as supportive and effective as possible.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy modalities/components.
• Demonstrated ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively within a healthcare team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered care orientation, reflecting a genuine desire to improve our patients' lives.
• Adaptability in tailoring treatment plans to fit various patient populations and presenting conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between USD 60,000 and 80,000 per year, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
