Work Environment
As a member of our onsite team, you will work in a hospital setting that encourages teamwork and innovation. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technologies and resources, ensuring that our staff can provide the best possible care. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities
- Implement therapeutic exercise programs, gait training, and mobility interventions tailored to the specific needs of individual patients.
- Collect and document patient data to track progress, ensuring accurate communication with the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Motivate and support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals through positive reinforcement and empathy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment that complies with all safety protocols.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance patient care practices.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other therapists to develop a cohesive multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will primarily work with adult and geriatric patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and functional capabilities. Our facility serves a diverse patient population, enabling you to gain experience across various diagnoses and treatment plans. Your role will significantly impact these individuals' ability to regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Current license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Virginia.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and support for their rehabilitation goals.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a hospital or assisted living facility focused on rehabilitation and geriatric care.
- Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and the ability to use various rehabilitation equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
