Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our clinical team in Eugene, Oregon. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with licensed Physical Therapists to provide exceptional rehabilitation services to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute towards improving patient mobility, strength, and functional outcomes through tailored therapeutic interventions.

We specialize in Orthopedic Rehabilitation, Neurological Rehabilitation, Geriatric Rehabilitation, Pediatric Rehabilitation, Sports Rehabilitation, and Post-Surgical Rehabilitation, ensuring that we meet the unique needs of every individual we serve. Work Environment
This role will be based onsite at our hospital facility, where you will engage directly with patients, clinical team members, and other healthcare professionals in a collaborative atmosphere. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules and clinic operations. Working in a supportive hospital setting allows you to engage with a diverse patient population and utilize a wide range of therapeutic interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique rehabilitation goals and needs.
- Guide patients through customized therapeutic exercises and modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, to promote recovery and enhance functionality.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in their range of motion, strength, and overall mobility to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment, ensuring that therapeutic supplies are well-organized and readily available for smooth clinic operations.
- Educate patients on effective body mechanics and home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in facilitating their own recovery process.
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement, fostering a motivating environment that enhances patient compliance and rehabilitation outcomes.
- Uphold ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and adherence to professional guidelines in all interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In your role as a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will interact with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients. This includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and those managing chronic pain or debilitating conditions. Your compassion and patient-centered approach will significantly contribute to their recovery journey and overall well-being.
Qualifications
- An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- Active state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and team members.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, allowing for efficient patient documentation and follow-up.

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a clinical or hospital setting is highly regarded.
- Experience with a variety of rehabilitation modalities and therapeutic exercises is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
