This full-time position requires a hands-on approach to patient care within a hospital environment, where you will play a crucial role in assisting physical therapists with implementing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' mobility and overall quality of life.

Work Environment
This role is performed onsite at our hospital facility, which is equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and a supportive interdisciplinary team. As a PTA, you will work from Monday to Friday, with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility may be required occasionally to adjust for specific patient needs or clinic operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in the execution of individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functionality.
- Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities that promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and exercise techniques, providing them with home exercise programs that support their recovery
- Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress effectively, including tracking range of motion improvements, strength developments, and overall functional outcomes.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring that therapeutic equipment and supplies are organized and ready for effective therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Occupational and Speech-Language Therapists, to create comprehensive patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive and motivating rehabilitative atmosphere.
- Adhere strictly to ethical and professional standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting individual rights.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients at Grand Health Care Clinic are diverse, encompassing various age groups and backgrounds, all requiring tailored rehabilitation approaches. You will engage with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain issues, necessitating a flexible and adaptive treatment strategy.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundation in anatomy and physiology as it relates to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under supervision.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, demonstrating a genuine commitment to aiding patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the needs of a wide range of patient populations and conditions.

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in an outpatient or hospital rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation processes.
- Experience working with specific populations, such as geriatrics or pediatrics.
Compensation and Benefits
