Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct physical therapy services under the supervision and guidance of licensed physical therapists, ensuring compliance with established plans of care.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at relieving pain and restoring function, while monitoring patients' responses to treatments.
- Guide patients through passive and active range of motion exercises, gait training, and functional activities to foster independence and improve movement.
- Utilize a variety of physical agents and modalities, including heat, cold, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and massage, as appropriate within treatment protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes to patient conditions, integrating findings into an organized clinical record.
- Educate patients and their families on the proper use of assistive devices, including canes, crutches, wheelchairs, and orthotic devices to enhance mobility.
- Participate in team meetings and interdisciplinary discussions, sharing insights and contributing to the overall improvement of patient care practices.
- Engage actively in quality improvement initiatives and staff educational programs to enhance personal skills and service delivery.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support clinic operations effectively.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Ensign, you will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injuries, and chronic conditions. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program, holding an Associate's degree in science or applied science recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Current certification or licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Arizona, with a commitment to continuous professional education and growth.
- Up-to-date CPR certification, demonstrating readiness for emergency situations.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle, ensuring the ability to commute to various patient locations as needed.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a hospital environment, providing physical therapy assistance to patients.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and clinical documentation processes.
Compensation and Benefits
Ensign Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
