Work Environment
This full-time position is based onsite at our Grandview facility. You will collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists, administrative staff, and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a work-life balance critical to employee satisfaction and efficacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Deliver therapeutic exercises and utilize manual techniques to enhance patient mobility and strength.
- Monitor and document patient progress, making sure to report any concerns or changes to the supervising PT promptly.
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for accurate and timely documentation of treatment sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, nutritional advice, and preventative measures to facilitate recovery.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, engaging with various healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Promote an encouraging and positive environment for patients, fostering a sense of hope and motivation throughout their recovery journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a PTO, you will work primarily with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse clientele includes athletes returning to play, seniors regaining mobility, and everyday individuals striving for pain-free living. Your role will be integral to helping each patient reclaim autonomy in their lives.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is required.
- A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri or license-eligible status.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy and encouraging patient interactions.
- A commitment to patient-centered care, demonstrating compassion and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic setup.
- Confidence in working within an outpatient orthopedic setting; prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- A desire to continuously develop clinical skills and be open to learning new treatment modalities.
Preferred Experience
Other than the basic qualifications, we value experience in outpatient rehab settings and knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation techniques. Familiarity with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy will also be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary, ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, based on relevant experience and performance metrics.
