Work Environment
Join our dynamic outpatient office setting where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers. Our facility in Redmond, Oregon, offers a welcoming atmosphere that promotes teamwork and collaboration. The work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced and predictable routine that supports both your professional objectives and personal life. Our onsite position allows for direct interaction with residents, enhancing their therapy experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical abilities, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.
- Administer hands-on therapeutic modalities, including effective therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and pain management techniques, adapting approaches based on each resident's condition.
- Implement fall prevention strategies and balance training exercises designed to enhance residents' safety and autonomy, ensuring a secure living environment.
- Provide education to residents and caregivers on proper body mechanics, mobility techniques, and home exercise programs, empowering them to take an active role in their rehabilitation.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and health professionals to coordinate care plans that address the unique needs of each resident, ensuring holistic treatment delivery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards, promoting transparency and accountability.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The residents at our Assisted Living Facility primarily consist of seniors who may be experiencing age-related physical challenges or recovering from medical conditions. As their Physical Therapist, your role is vital in not only enhancing their mobility and functionality but also in elevating their quality of life. You will work with individuals who have varying degrees of physical limitations, building trust and rapport that fosters a sense of community and support.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; a Doctorate or Master's degree is preferred.
- A current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Oregon, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with residents and team members.
- An aptitude for patient-centered care, with a passion for working with senior populations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation and treatment planning.
Preferred Experience
- At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, especially in assisted living, geriatric care, or skilled nursing environments, is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with therapeutic services and modalities specifically targeted toward seniors and complex rehabilitation needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, enhancing collaborative care efforts.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
