Work Environment
Located in the heart of Glendale, AZ, our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and a supportive atmosphere that promotes healing and collaboration. The role involves working closely with a team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, fostering an environment where patient-centered care is prioritized. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet patient and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your everyday tasks will include:
- Assisting Physical Therapists in the evaluation and implementation of individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs.
- Guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to address physical limitations and improve overall well-being.
- Educating patients on proper body mechanics, effective exercise strategies, and home exercise routines to facilitate recovery beyond the clinic.
- Utilizing modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, adhering to safety protocols under the Physical Therapist's supervision.
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress meticulously, focusing on metrics such as strength, range of motion, and functional abilities.
- Maintaining treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment is well-organized and ready for therapy sessions.
- Engaging collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and effective patient care.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement, enhancing the patient experience through building trust and rapport.
- Upholding professional standards, including confidentiality and ethical guidelines in every interaction.

Qualifications

- An Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, with a valid state license or certification.

- Proven proficiency in executing treatment plans and techniques under the direction of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits
