Work Environment
This role will be performed onsite at our well-equipped hospital rehab center. Our facility boasts state-of-the-art equipment and a collegial atmosphere that supports collaboration among healthcare professionals. Here, you will work closely alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in the implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functional outcomes.
- Engage with patients in therapeutic exercises, nurturing their progress through guided stretches and activities tailored to promote well-being and alleviate discomfort.
- Educate patients on proper techniques regarding body mechanics, designed to empower them in their recovery journey and facilitate adherence to home exercise programs.
- Administer therapeutic modalities, including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, while working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking essential metrics such as range of motion, strength gains, and overall functional improvement.
- Prepare treatment areas ahead of therapy sessions, ensuring all equipment, supplies, and modalities are organized and accessible for optimal patient care.
- Collaborate effectively within the interdisciplinary team, providing input for coordinated patient care strategies that aim to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
- Support patients emotionally throughout their recovery process, fostering a positive and motivating environment that encourages perseverance and resilience.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights and privacy at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work with a diverse population of patients, including individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, age-related conditions, and neurological challenges. Qualifications
- Hold an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possess a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

- Exhibit proficiency in implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
- Showcase excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong relationships with patients and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare colleagues.

Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting is highly desirable, particularly in hospital-based environments.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
