Pro Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our healthcare team at our Pasadena, California location. In this dynamic and collaborative role, you will work closely under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, assisting in the delivery of exceptional rehabilitative care to our diverse patient population. Work Environment
Located in the vibrant community of Pasadena, California, our onsite hospital facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation technology and tools, ensuring you have everything needed to provide effective treatments. The role primarily operates during weekday hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet the needs of patients and the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to implement tailored treatment plans, enhancing patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and physical activities aimed at pain relief and physical improvement, adjusting techniques as needed based on patient feedback.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and proper body mechanics for home programs, supporting their recovery process beyond the clinic.
- Administer therapeutic modalities (such as electrical stimulation and heat therapy) accurately as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress systematically, tracking improvements in metrics such as range of motion and strength.
- Ensure treatment areas are well-prepared and that all necessary supplies and equipment are maintained and organized.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate approaches, share insights, and optimize patient care.
- Encourage a positive rehabilitation environment by providing emotional and motivational support to patients through their recovery journey.
- Maintain strict adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols to protect patient privacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our diverse patient population ranges from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals in need of rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries. You will contribute significantly to the recovery of patients with varying conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, those facing neurological challenges, and individuals requiring specialized care to regain functional independence. Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, along with a valid state license to practice.
- Solid foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and physical therapy techniques.
- Proven experience in administering therapeutic exercises and modalities in a clinical setting.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships with patients and effectively collaborating with the entire care team.

- Prior experience in a rehabilitation clinic or hospital setting is highly favorable.

Compensation and Benefits
