Work Environment
This full-time position is based onsite at our hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, where our state-of-the-art facilities provide a supportive environment for both patients and staff. Working from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will play a crucial part in our dynamic healthcare team. While most shifts will follow this schedule, occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate patient needs and ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in executing tailored treatment plans that address both the short- and long-term rehabilitation goals of patients.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to enhance physical well-being and alleviate pain.
- Educate patients on body mechanics and home exercise programs to empower them in their recovery efforts.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Document and monitor patient progress meticulously, tracking parameters such as range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional progress.
- Prepare treatment areas by ensuring equipment and supplies are organized for therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to optimize patient care.
- Provide emotional and motivational support to patients during their rehabilitation journey, fostering an encouraging environment.
- Adhere to ethical standards, maintaining patient confidentiality while upholding their rights and privacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role as a PTA will involve working with a diverse range of patients, including those recuperating from surgeries, managing chronic illnesses, or recovering from acute injuries. Our patient demographics are varied, encompassing geriatrics, pediatric, and athletic populations, allowing you to apply your skills across different age groups and conditions, ultimately making a significant impact on their lives.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy.
- Ability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

- Flexibility to adapt treatment strategies to meet diverse patient needs.

Preferred Experience
While prior experience as a PTA is desirable, we welcome recent graduates who demonstrate a strong passion for rehabilitation and patient care. Experience in orthopedic or sports rehabilitation settings will be viewed favorably. We value individuals who have a continuous learning mindset and are eager to grow within the field.
Compensation and Benefits
Access Health Care Solutions offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 60,000 to 80,000. In addition to the base pay, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
