Motion Craft Wellness is seeking dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Physical Therapists to join our dynamic team in North Houston, Texas. This full-time, onsite position focuses on delivering high-quality physical therapy services tailored specifically for our geriatric clientele, enabling them to maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Work Environment
Our physical therapists work directly in the homes of clients located in the North Houston area, providing personalized therapy in a comfortable and familiar environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, determining their functional limitations and establishing personal treatment plans to address these unique challenges.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy services, utilizing a combination of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and appropriate modalities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
- Monitor and consistently document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual progress evaluations to ensure optimal rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to provide cohesive care and achieve shared patient goals.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs, techniques to prevent injury, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery and prevent recurrences.
- Develop and implement fall prevention programs to significantly reduce the risk of accidents within the homes of our clients.
- Engage in continuous professional development by staying up-to-date with the latest therapeutic practices, techniques, and industry advancements through ongoing education and training.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional practices, including maintaining patient confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our primary focus is on the geriatric population, which includes a diverse range of clients experiencing issues related to aging, chronic conditions, post-operative recovery, or mobility limitations. By engaging closely with this population, our therapists have the unique opportunity to make significant impacts on their clients' lives, fostering improved mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall well-being.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
- An active state license as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively engage with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) for efficient documentation is essential.
- Commitment to applying evidence-based practices in treatment methodologies to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with geriatric patients is highly desirable, although newly graduated therapists who are passionate about this field are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while also thriving in collaborative team settings.
- A proactive approach to patient care, with an emphasis on promoting independence and improving patients' everyday lives.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive and ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
