Work Environment
This position is stationed onsite at our outpatient office in Spring Creek, Nevada. Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while you focus on delivering superb patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and create individualized treatment plans to effectively meet their goals.
- Administer skilled therapeutic services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other modalities appropriate for geriatric patients.
- Monitor patients' progress through regular documentation and adjust treatment strategies as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians and occupational and speech therapists, to provide comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment techniques and self-management strategies, including home exercise programs to facilitate continued recovery.
- Implement fall prevention and safety measures, crucial for reducing accidents and supporting the well-being of patients in assisted living environments.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field of physical therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality while providing the highest level of compassionate care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on geriatric patients, providing specialized therapy services that cater to their unique needs. We believe in fostering a strong therapeutic relationship with our clients, many of whom have experienced significant life changes and seek to regain their mobility and independence. Your role will be essential in helping them navigate challenges associated with aging, ensuring they can thrive in their living environments.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; higher degrees such as a Master's or Doctorate are valuable.
- Active state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Nevada.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively connect with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
- Ability to utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) for patient documentation and treatment planning.
- Dedication to delivering patient-centered care that enhances the quality of life and promotes independence for our elderly clients.
- Proficient understanding of evidence-based practices and willingness to incorporate the latest therapeutic techniques within your practice.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in geriatric therapy is preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive mentoring and support as they transition into their roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to foster collaborative patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
