Work Environment
Your primary workplace will be our outpatient office in Coyote Springs, NV, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. This onsite setting provides a dynamic interaction with patients and allows for comprehensive monitoring of their progress. The office is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technologies that facilitate effective therapy sessions and outcomes. You will also have the flexibility to create your own schedule and influence patient assignments, promoting a comfortable work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities to identify their rehabilitation needs and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Administer skilled physical therapy treatments, employing techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and various modalities tailored for geriatric patients.
- Continuously monitor and document patient progress through electronic medical records (EMRs), adjusting treatment approaches based on assessments and outcomes to ensure optimal recovery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to provide integrated care and better address the health needs of patients.
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic exercises and safety measures, reinforcing the importance of home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
- Develop and implement fall prevention programs to enhance the safety of patients in the assisted living community.
- Commit to professional development by staying current with the latest trends in physical therapy and pursuing ongoing education and training opportunities.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality, ensuring the highest level of care in all interactions with patients.

Qualifications

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Proficiency in documenting patient progress using electronic medical records (EMRs) and adapting to organization-specific systems.
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and the ability to implement the newest therapeutic techniques into patient care.
- A strong dedication to patient-centered care and a demonstrated ability to improve patients' independence and mobility.
- Capability to work autonomously while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with geriatric populations, ideally in outpatient settings.
- Background in creating and executing rehabilitation programs focused on older adults.
- Familiarity with documentation and billing processes specific to physical therapy services.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off and access to continuing education programs.
