Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our hospital-based setting, you will work in a fast-paced yet collaborative environment. The schedule is typically Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility to meet the needs of our patients and adapt to clinic operations. Our team values open communication and teamwork; you will routinely engage with therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure streamlined and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support registered Physical Therapists by effectively executing prescribed treatment plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards of care.
• Conduct routine therapeutic procedures, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and the application of modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, to foster patient recovery.
• Observe and monitor patients during treatment sessions, diligently recording their conditions, reactions, and responses to therapies and reporting significant findings to your supervising therapist.
• Assist in documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records as per compliance standards to support ongoing treatment evaluations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies, share insights, and contribute to a collaborative care environment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the therapy area and equipment to create a conducive treatment environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on adult patients, including those dealing with orthopedic injuries such as post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain syndromes. Our approach is tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring they receive the supportive, personalized care vital for their rehabilitation and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is required. Your educational background will lay the foundation for the effective execution of treatment plans.
• A current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license is essential; candidates should be prepared to provide documentation or demonstrate eligibility.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• A compassionate demeanor, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude will facilitate success in this position.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably within a hospital or similar environment, where patient management skills can be effectively applied.
• Experience working with adult orthopedic and chronic pain populations will greatly enhance your contributions.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
