Work Environment
This role is based in a hospital setting, allowing for an engaging and dynamic work environment. Our hospital is equipped with modern equipment and therapeutic modalities, ensuring that you have the tools necessary to deliver exemplary service. Your typical work week will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring that each session is tailored to the patient's unique needs.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy to facilitate pain relief and promote recovery.
- Consistently monitor and document patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to optimize rehabilitation outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Physical Therapists and other healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans that reflect interdisciplinary insights and expertise.
- Offer patient education to clients and their families, empowering them with knowledge about home exercise programs, recovery techniques, and injury prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation to adhere to regulatory standards and clinic policies, ensuring an organized and efficient workflow.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at PhysioSpace, you will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications
- An active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Virginia.
