Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks will include an array of responsibilities that support patient recovery:
- Assist physical therapists in executing personalized treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, and functioning.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, offering support and instruction to ensure correct technique that aids in their recovery.
- Educate patients about safe body mechanics, exercise techniques, and at-home exercise programs to empower their recovery journey.
- Apply various modalities, such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and thermal therapies, under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.
- Track and document patient progress, meticulously noting improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring equipment is ready and organized for daily therapy sessions.
- Initiate collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to enhance coordination in patient care and maximize therapeutic outcomes.
- Provide emotional encouragement and support to patients, fostering a motivational atmosphere that positively influences their rehabilitation experience.
- Adhere to the highest ethical and professional standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting their rights and privacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work closely with a diverse range of patients across different age groups and rehabilitation needs. Qualifications
To be a successful candidate, you should meet the following qualifications:
- An associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Robust knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy.
- Capability to implement therapeutic exercises and modalities effectively under the guidance of a physical therapist.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
