Key Responsibilities
- Assist in delivering therapeutic exercises and functional training as outlined in individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Utilize manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and various physical modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to enhance patient recovery.
- Regularly monitor and document patient progress, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols and reporting any changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment strategies aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques to promote ongoing recovery outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment sessions according to clinic policies and standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The PTA will work primarily with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic conditions that limit mobility. Our patient population includes a diverse array of individuals across various ages and backgrounds, each with unique needs that require personalized treatment plans. Qualifications
- Active and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in Virginia.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Preferred Experience

- Experience working in a hospital environment is a plus, as this role requires quick adaptability and responsiveness to varied clinical settings.
