Work Environment
This position is performed onsite at our hospital facility, allowing for immediate access to a broad range of medical resources and specialists. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
- Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions and personalized care as outlined in treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists.
- Instruct patients on appropriate therapeutic exercises and mobility techniques, ensuring they engage in safe practices to enhance their recovery.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress in accordance with established protocols, making informed recommendations for adjustments to treatment plans based on observed changes and feedback.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to enhance pain relief and promote healing.
- Educate patients and their families about injury prevention, recovery techniques, and efficient movements for daily activities to empower them during their rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment notes in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere in the clinic by actively participating in team meetings and discussions focused on patient care and clinic operations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a PTA at Integro, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgery, athletes with sports injuries, as well as seniors managing post-acute care challenges. Your role is vital in not only providing direct care but also in motivating and encouraging patients throughout their rehabilitation. You will quickly learn to tailor programs to meet specific individual needs, utilizing feedback and progress measurements to drive improvements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.
- Must possess or be eligible for an active Connecticut Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Strong willingness to help patients achieve their recovery goals through movement and therapeutic exercises.
- Exceptional communication skills and an ability to foster teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of patient care.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, especially in an outpatient or orthopedic setting, is highly preferred but not mandatory as recent graduates with a strong foundation in physical therapy principles will also be considered.
- Experience utilizing EMR systems for patient documentation is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include:
