Work Environment
This position is primarily onsite, allowing you to work directly with patients in an engaging outpatient setting. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent schedule that promotes work-life balance while allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively implement treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
- Guide patients through various therapeutic exercises, including stretching, balance training, and mobility exercises, to enhance their physical capabilities.
- Monitor and accurately document patient progress, noting responses to treatments and reporting findings to supervising Physical Therapists to adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide encouragement, instruction, and necessary modifications during exercises to ensure optimal outcomes and patient comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment by assisting in the setup and breakdown of therapy equipment and spaces between patient sessions.
- Exhibit professionalism and positive energy to enhance clinic operations, ensuring that all interactions contribute to a therapeutic atmosphere.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Tranquil Pines, you will work with a diverse population of patients recovering from various orthopedic injuries and surgeries. This includes individuals seeking relief and recovery following sports-related injuries, joint replacements, and other musculoskeletal issues. Your role is critical in guiding them through their rehabilitation journey, providing the support necessary to boost their confidence and independence.
Qualifications
- A current Oregon Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
- Strong clinical judgment, with excellent communication skills to foster effective patient interactions.
- A proactive attitude and comfort working collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably in orthopedic outpatient or sports rehabilitation.
- Confidence and skill in conducting hands-on therapy with patients, adapting approaches as needed for each individual's comfort and progress.
- A demonstrated passion for patient care and movement science, combined with a strong desire to continue learning and growing in the field.
Compensation and Benefits
We value our employees and offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 annually, based on experience and performance.
