Leg Work Rehab Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team at our facility located in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a professional who is committed to delivering high-quality patient care in an onsite hospital environment. As a PTA, you will work directly under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to implement and modify therapeutic treatment plans aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Work Environment
The position is based at our onsite hospital facility, which is equipped with the latest rehabilitation technology and resources. You will be part of a vibrant team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical staff, all dedicated to providing comprehensive care. The work schedule is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in data collection for initial evaluations, including conducting tests and measurements to track patient progress.
- Execute therapeutic procedures as outlined in the patient's plan of care, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
- Adapt and enhance treatment techniques based on ongoing assessment of the patient's needs and response to therapy.
- Monitor and document patient progress, promptly communicating any changes in the patient's condition to the supervising therapist.
- Coordinate with other health care professionals in developing and implementing treatment plans that integrate a variety of therapeutic services.
- Attend team meetings and participate in case discussions to foster a collaborative treatment approach.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient demographic is diverse, including individuals rehabilitating from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. As a PTA at Leg Work Rehab Group, you will have the opportunity to work with patients ranging from military members, veterans, and their families to local community members seeking rehabilitation services. Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
- Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Must possess a current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Missouri at the time of hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required, candidates with specialized experience in outpatient rehabilitation, sports medicine, or orthopedic therapy will be given preference. Demonstrated competencies in treatment modalities and a strong understanding of patient care protocols will enhance your candidacy.
Compensation and Benefits
