Rebound Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Corvallis, Oregon. Work Environment
The role is based in a fast-paced, collaborative hospital environment where teamwork among healthcare professionals is emphasized. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work onsite with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and other healthcare providers in a supportive setting designed to optimize patient outcomes. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required to meet the demands of patient care and clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant at Rebound Physical Therapy, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on enhancing mobility and functionality.
- Conducting therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities with patients, ensuring they engage in practices that promote healing and alleviate pain.
- Educating patients about proper body mechanics and tailored exercise techniques, along with designing home exercise programs to support their recovery.
- Administering therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as guided by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Documenting patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall health.
- Preparing treatment areas and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe and organized therapy environment.
- Working closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, sharing insights and collaborating on treatment strategies for optimal outcomes.
- Offering emotional support and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, contributing to a positive therapeutic environment.
- Upholding ethical standards and confidentiality, respecting all patient rights and privacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population is diverse, ranging from children recovering from sports injuries to elderly individuals needing rehabilitation after surgeries or chronic conditions. You will encounter a wide variety of cases, allowing you to hone your skills and adapt treatments to meet each patient's unique needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- A strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques relevant to physical therapy.
- Demonstrated proficiency in administering therapeutic interventions and modalities under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on establishing rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with team members.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care with a genuine desire to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Compensation and Benefits
