Stand Point PT, located in Kaufman, Texas, is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position plays a crucial role in supporting our orthopedic outpatient program, focusing on patients recovering from surgeries and injuries. As a PTA in our facility, you will not only implement treatment plans but will also be deeply involved in the rehabilitation journey, making a vital difference in patients' lives.

Work Environment
This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in the heart of Kaufman, Texas, which allows for a collaborative and supportive working environment. You will be working closely with licensed Physical Therapists and a multi-disciplinary team to create a motivating and encouraging atmosphere for our patients. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and execute tailored treatment plans for patients designed by supervising Physical Therapists, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Lead patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises and interventions, including neuromuscular re-education and gait training, fostering independence and enhancing mobility.
- Utilize various therapeutic modalities (such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy) as instructed, ensuring each treatment aligns with patient goals.
- Regularly monitor and assess patient performance and response to treatments, documenting all observations and relaying pertinent information to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting clinical environment that encourages patient participation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, posture, ergonomic practices, and injury prevention strategies to enhance recovery outcomes and prevent recurrent injuries.
- Actively participate in clinic meetings, case discussions, and staff development activities to foster team cohesion and continued professional growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population primarily consists of individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. As such, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, each requiring individualized attention and care strategies tailored to their unique recovery needs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant License in the State of Texas, or the ability to secure one prior to starting the role.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients compassionately while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and the capability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Preferred Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in outpatient orthopedic or sports rehabilitation settings.
- A desire to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values mentorship, and encourages peer support and continuous improvement.
Compensation and Benefits
