Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by licensed Physical Therapists, ensuring adherence to medical guidelines and best practices.
- Deliver hands-on therapy that includes conducting exercises, providing gait training, enhancing balance, and facilitating mobility support for patients.
- Monitor, document, and report on patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on safety strategies and home exercise programs to promote ongoing health and recovery.
- Collaborate closely with nursing, therapy, and wellness professionals to contribute to a holistic approach in patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in line with Medicare and facility regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with adult and geriatric patients who require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions. Our patients often benefit from tailored physical therapy interventions aimed at restoring mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing their quality of life. Your role will be integral in facilitating their recovery journeys and helping them achieve functional independence.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Virginia.
- CPR certification, or willingness to obtain certification promptly upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and their families.
- A genuine passion for promoting healthier, more mobile lifestyles in seniors and individuals in rehabilitation.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably working with older adults or in long-term care.
- Previous exposure to hospital-based rehabilitation and an understanding of the protocols and workflows within such an environment.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance.
